Description: Habanero Italian Sauce (Print Recipe)

Uses: Seasoning Meat, Pasta, Pizza, Italian Dishes, Marinating Meat

1oz. 28 grams package habanero Italian blend mix (or season to taste)
Ingredients: Habanero Peppers, Oregano, Basil, Garlic, Rosemary, Thyme, Sage, Marjoram.

1/4 cup olive oil
1/3 cup Balsamic vinegar
1 cup diced tomatoes
1 medium (1/2 cup) onion, finely chopped
2 14oz. can Italian-style tomato or tomato sauce
1 14oz can Italian-style tomato paste

Olive oil and vinegar in 2-quart saucepan until sizzling; add onions. Cook over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, until onion is softened (3 to 4 minutes).

Add tomatoes, tomato paste, sauce and spice pack (or season to taste); continue cooking until mixture comes to a boil (1 to 2 minutes). Reduce heat to medium. Cook, stirring occasionally, until tomatoes are softened (10 to 12 minutes).

To serve, spoon sauce over hot cooked linguini, angel hair (capellini) pasta or fettuccine.

Dips: 1oz. 28 grams package Italian blend mix (or season to taste) with 3 cup sour cream and 1 cup mayonnaise or 4 cups plain yogurt for dips. Blend for 1 minutes them put in container and refrigerate over night. No preservatives or additives. Dry mix will make approx. 4 cups of dip.

Heat index : 5 on a scale of 1-10.

Yields about 4 cups

Queso Dip: 1oz. 28 grams package italian blend mixed (or season to taste) with 3lbs. melted American Cheese. Add milk to thin.
